Human Resources Manager

Position
Summary:

Reporting to the Director of HR, the Human Resources Manager will play a key role in driving HR solutions and identifying workforce needs.
This position will oversee execution of human resources policies and programs, which include recruitment and onboarding, training and career development, & employee relations.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ADA, EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
Assists plant leadership in the application of HR programs to departmental operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
Leads and directs the work of the HR Coordinator.

Essential Functions & Key
Responsibilities:

  • Strategically partner with plant leadership to develop and implement retention, training & development, and compliance initiatives.
  • Assist employees with day to day inquiries pertaining to HR related matters
  • Create, improve and administer human resource policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and oversee all recruitment-related activities including, but not limited to; posting/communicating open positions, screening candidates, conducting interviews, updating job descriptions, etc.
  • Manage onboarding process for newly hired salaried employees.
  • Perform exit interviews
  • Conduct workplace investigations and assist with employee relations counseling
  • Compile and report HR metrics to management
  • Analyze local labor & compensation trends, and develop initiatives to maintain competitiveness in the labor market
  • Assist with annual performance review process
  • Conduct weekly staff review and retention meetings
  • Present HR topics in quarterly Plant Communication meetings

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5-10
    years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Bachelor s Degree in a related field is preferred or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Experience in ADP Etime & Successfactors is a plus
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyze, comprehend and execute in a high-speed environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with hourly recruiting, employee relations and engagement, benefits administration, policy communication and administration, HR compliance, workplace investigations etc.
  • Experience with handling workers compensation a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
